Robert “Bob” George Weigang, 90, of Kailua-Kona, died March 4 at his residence. Born May 15, 1921, in Denver, Colo., he was a retired engineer for Kaiser Steel Corp. in Fontana, Calif., and served during WWII as a captain in the Army Corps of Engineers.

Private services were held.

He is survived by daughters, Carol Van Tiem, of Boulder Creek, Calif., Anne (Bob) Fitch, of Santa Cruz, Calif.; son, Bill (Robin) Weigang, of Kailua-Kona; sister, Betty (Jim Mullings) Weigang-Mullings, of New Mexico; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
